Traditions.
Piedmont has many advantages, deep caves at the sea allow a sheltered port to dock in. The mountains shield her back as well as provide silver mines of untold wealth. There is rumor that opals and sapphires might be mined as well from her vast unexplored caves. High above her cylinders in the shelter of her mountainous peaks, the wild tarn flocks are legendary among the cities of Gor.

Recently taken over from a bad administration, many are finding a fresh start here in Piedmont.

You come to visit the city arriving on foot and are greeted at the gates by the city guardsman. Overhead the constant patrol of tarnsmen  above the city's tarn wires give you the feeling this is a secure and ready city. Had you arrived by tarnback your sure you would have been forced to place your tarn at the tarncot outside the city wall.

 You are issued a pass and told to enjoy your visit. Who knows, once you have seen the life here, met the Ubar Hawk of Gor and his Ubara, Eveline R Stone, and citizens, you may find you want to stay. 

To help you along the way you are directed to the posting board in the center of Silver Street, the main road your weary feet followed into the city. There the laws and information for the cities visitors are posted as well as places to visit and accommodations for your party. 

 

Here you can read the copies of laws for all peoples of Piedmont. Free persons and slave all should be aware of the laws of the city and her codes. While within her walls you will be expected to follow the laws or face the consequences. The dress codes, taxes and more explained for your ease while among us.
